Happy 4th of July!

Okay, I know I am a couple of weeks late! But better late than never, right? I will get better, I promise. :) We spent the afternoon cooking out with friends and then headed to the fireworks show with our friends Matt, Brooke, and their little boy Brennen. The fireworks show was a little disappointing in comparison with years past. Bentley wasn't impressed either. He was much more interested in running to the parking lot, full speed ahead! You're surprised to hear that, aren't you? Haha! Here are a few pictures from our 4th of July...

Family Photo :)

I spent most of my time chasing this wild man all over the Bluffs

Bentley and me with Brooke and Brennen

Ya Ya stopped by and our sweet nephews were there watching fireworks with their Mom and Dad, too. Cooper and Cody put on a sparkler show for Bentley, which by the way he was much more entertained by than the fireworks show. See pictures below.

Daddy trying to give Bam an up close view of the fireworks...it didn't do the trick, haha!

I explained to my sweet Bam that it was time to watch fireworks, not run in the parking lot. He promptly replied with, "Noooo!!"
Until next time, love and hugs!

Virtual Baby Book

Since I am not great at updating Bentley's baby book in this busy life of ours, I'm making an attempt to do a "virtual baby book" blog for him. I'll start with an update of what my sweet boy is up to these days.

Bentley turned 16 months on the 24th of June. Time is flying! Spending the summer with him and watching his adorable and funny little personality unfold has been so much fun, to say the least. He is walking everywhere, in to everything, talking up a storm, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Bentley (or BAM as we call him for short) is rapidly expanding his vocabulary. His current babbles include: doggie (his great grandpa taught him to "whistle" for the doggie too), mommy/mama, daddy, night night, go, hey (with a deep southern drawl), bye bye, please, thank you, yeah, no, fish (ish), this (how he communicates he wants something), bite bite, and lots of other words that we haven't quite figured out yet. :) He is very expressive when he communicates.

Some of BAM's favorite things are...

Annie's bunnies

Cooking

Easter Eggs

Being Outside

Water
Playing at the park

The color yellow (specifically utensils and blankets)

Elmo's Valentine Book

Cozy Coup

Our growing boy weighed in at 22 lbs 11 oz and 33 1/2 inches tall at his 15 month checkup. What a sweet blessing he is!
